Contact & Booking Info: Name, phone number, email address, vehicle year/make/model, and service address when you book an appointment or request a quote.

Payment Info: Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of payment data.

Device & Usage Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referral source collected automatically via Google Analytics (GA4) and standard server logs.

Communications: Any messages you send us by email, phone, or through our booking form.

Service Photos & Video: Our technicians photograph or video-record vehicle conditions before, during, and after service, as described in our Terms of Service. These records are kept as part of your service file and are not shared publicly unless anonymized for marketing, as described there.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:

• Stripe — to process payment transactions securely
• Google Analytics — aggregated, anonymized website usage data
• Twilio — to deliver SMS messages about your quote, appointment, payment, and review requests
• Law enforcement or regulators — only when required by law or to protect our legal rights

All third-party services we use are bound by their own privacy policies and applicable data protection laws.

If you provide your phone number and opt in to SMS messages, Lowered Standards uses it only to send appointment, quote, payment, and review-request texts related to your service. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Message frequency varies by service activity, typically 2-4 messages per completed visit. Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP at any time to opt out.

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to:

• Remember your preferences and session state
• Analyze traffic via Google Analytics (GA4)
• Secure the booking and payment flow via Stripe

Google Analytics runs by default so we can see which pages help visitors and which don't. You can opt out anytime: use the Opt out button on our cookie notice, change my cookie choice, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

You can also disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the booking system.

We retain booking and customer records for as long as necessary to fulfill the service, handle warranty claims (12-month/12,000-mile warranty), and comply with applicable tax and business record laws — typically no longer than 3 years after your last service.

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption, secure password storage, and restricted access to customer data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

If a data breach occurs that compromises your personal information, we will notify affected individuals as required under the Texas Identity Theft Enforcement and Protection Act (Tex. Bus. & Com. Code § 521.053) and other applicable law.

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Portability — request a copy of your data in a portable format
• Opt-out — unsubscribe from marketing and SMS communications at any time

As a small business under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (Tex. Bus. & Com. Code Ch. 541) that does not sell personal data, most of that Act's obligations do not apply to us — but we honor the access, correction, deletion, and portability requests above regardless. Our services and this policy are directed to Texas residents; we do not knowingly process data in a manner that would trigger other states' privacy laws.

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
