Correct fluid is Mopar Axle Lubricant 75W-90 — generic GL-5 causes limited-slip clutch wear.

Grand Cherokee 3.0L EcoDiesel (2014–2022): diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) service, fuel filter replacement every 20,000 miles, and EGR system cleaning are the priority maintenance items. DEF quality matters — cheap DEF with impurities clogs the SCR catalyst. We use BlueDEF or Mopar DEF exclusively.

Keeping a Trail Jeep Reliable

A Jeep that goes off-road needs its fluids changed more often than the manual's normal schedule. Differential and transfer case fluid, brake fluid, and a close look underneath after every few trail trips will catch small problems before they strand you on a dirt road.

A violent shake in the steering after hitting a bump at highway speed, often called death wobble, usually traces back to a worn track bar, tie rod ends, or ball joints on solid-axle Wranglers and Gladiators. We inspect those joints and replace worn steering parts at your home.

Heat matters too. A Wrangler parked in a San Antonio lot bakes fast, and the AC has to work hard to pull that heat back out. If your Jeep's AC blows cool on the highway but warm at a red light, a condenser fan or low refrigerant is the usual cause, and both can be diagnosed in your driveway.
